So you had a bad day

Some days are wonderful. Most days are blase. But some days are bad. Wednesday was one of those days. Tuesday evening my car did something weird. I'm not sure what it did, but it was definitely weird and then the engine light came on. So I got up early to drop it off at my mechanic. Unfortunately, I got the news that my beloved Saturn is done. I can still drive it, although cautiously, for a little bit. The repairs cost more than the car itself and now I must go car shopping. I hate shopping of any kind, especially anything involving automotives.

So R.I.P. Saturn. You've been with me for 7 years--through years and years of hot summers, one cold winter in Utah, up through the canyons in blizzards, in 117 degree summers, two roommates and my living alone, being parked on the street, being broken into twice and yet you've always held up. I will miss you and hope my next car is as reliable as you once were, but you are not reliable anymore. I'll have to update the blog with my new purchase when that takes place.

So anyway, on with my day. A bottle of shampoo exploded in my make-up bag and all of my makeup, including my now-destroyed powders were soaked or ruined. Alex was injured on So You Think You Can Dance, my favorite contestant. I went hiking after work with a couple of girlfriends and I got so sick I had to turn back. Usually I'm the one wanting to go faster and harder, but I had to leave them to continue on without me. The heat just got to me. I got a severe headache, started shaking and nauseated. I came back slowly down the mountain and felt like I was going to be one of those hikers you see on the news having to be airlifted off the trail. Everything started spinning and my heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest. My heart rate was near 190 for just walking down a trail slowly. Sickening! And above all, depressing. I hope I am not out of shape. I hope it was just my body saying "get out of the heat you moron." I can handle that. Then I went to a writing class I am taking and my pen rang out of ink. Then I tried another pen and I broke it. Then I went shopping online for a new car and it is so expensive. What a day.

I am still missing my trip to Salt Lake for the 4th of July. I miss cooler weather!!
